What Is SmartSenser?
Imagine having a plumber constantly keeping watch over your heating system, monitoring all of its functions and making sure that it operates properly. Every time it notices the pressure drop, it makes sure that your heating system keeps operating by topping it up.
No more call out fees just to repressurise your system. More importantly, SmartSenser also sends you an email or text message to let you know that it stepped in. In most cases, that’s all it needs to do to make sure your system keeps keeping you warm. Sometimes though, there really is a problem.
SmartSenser recognises that if the boiler needs topping up too often, or takes too much water to refill, you could have a leak and takes action accordingly to prevent damage. The water is shut and an alert sent so that a plumber can attend when genuinely required! You can even talk to SmartSenser with your mobile device or laptop and assess the situation before attending.
This is particularly useful when a home has a pre-payment meter. It’s not uncommon for some tenants to forget to top up their payment cards, or to think they have credit left. SmartSenser can diagnose whether or not the meter has blocked the supply and save all those middle of the night call outs by allowing the landlord, council or plumber to connect to the SmartSenser unit in the home and check to see if there really is a problem with the system, or if the tenant simply needs to put more money on their card.
SmartSenser can also detect leaks in the domestic hot water system and prevent damage by shutting off the water supply if it detects a serious event like a burst pipe. This can help prevent serious damage and for scenarios where this can happen in a block of flats, can prevent damage to other units and save on big insurance claims. It means you can go on holiday with peace of mind at any time of year.
SmartSenser can also detect an act upon any function, including early mold detection. Warnings of mold spores can be provided before mold sets in and becomes an issue.
