Clever Centre Ltd is committed to achieving Net Zero carbon emissions by 2050, aligned with UK government targets. Through our VorteXtract heating system optimisation technology, we actively contribute to national decarbonisation by enabling customers to reduce energy consumption and carbon emissions by 10-20%.

Our Carbon Footprint (2025 Baseline)

Total Emissions: 39.3 tCO₂e annually across Scope 1, 2, and 3

Scope 1 (Direct): 0 tCO₂e – achieved through 100% electric vehicle fleet and electric heating

Scope 2 (Electricity): 0.66 tCO₂e from office and EV charging

Scope 3 (Value Chain): 38.6 tCO₂e, primarily from purchased goods (29.5 tCO₂e from stainless steel)

Net Carbon Impact: POSITIVE – our products save customers approximately 450 tCO₂e annually, over 10x our operational footprint.

Our Strategy

Reduce

Prioritise emissions reduction through energy efficiency improvements, sustainable product design, and supply chain engagement. Key initiatives include LED lighting, building insulation, circular economy principles, and supplier decarbonisation programmes.

Switch

Transition to renewable energy (100% by 2027) and increase recycled content in materials. Already achieved: 100% electric vehicle fleet.

Offset

Use high-quality carbon offsets only for residual emissions that cannot be eliminated, prioritising UK-based nature-based solutions and carbon removal technologies.

Governance & Accountability

Board-Level Oversight: Managing Director has ultimate responsibility; annual strategy reviews

Dedicated Champion: Operations Manager leads implementation and quarterly reporting

External Verification: ISO 14001 (2026), Science Based Targets (2027), ISO 14064 (2028), Carbon Trust Standard (2030)

Investment: £78,000 over 25 years (2-3% of annual revenue)

Stakeholder Engagement

We collaborate with employees, suppliers, customers, and the local community to drive systemic change. Annual supplier workshops, transparent customer reporting, and participation in industry forums ensure collective action toward Net Zero.

Monitoring & Review

We track progress through annual carbon footprint assessments and KPI monitoring. This plan undergoes comprehensive triennial reviews to incorporate new technologies, methodologies, and best practices. We commit to full transparency in reporting both successes and challenges.
